Public transportations:

The cost of a ticket is always the same no matter what station you decide to get off. This means that you pay the same price for both the next station or the last. The stations of Vaporetti or Motoscafi here in Venice, are called Imbarcaderi. The lines of Motoscafi are the fastest.

Motoscafo 51 - from 06.00 to 23.00 about every 20 minutes - Tickets cost 6.50 euros. it stops at major stations.

Motoscafo 52 - from 06.00 to 23.00 about every 15 minutes - Tickets cost 6.50 euros. It stops at major stations.
They leave / arrive every 20 minutes .---> Piazzale Roma.......... Railway station Saint Lucia........... island of Murano ......... Lido ...... Saint Mark Square ...........Piazzale Roma ..... ..... Railway station Saint Lucia............Piazzale Roma.
The shortest route from the Lido to Piazzale Roma / Railway station Saint Lucia, about 35 minutes.

Vaporetto line 1 - day and night 24/24 every 20 minutes - Tickets cost 6.50 euros. Normally used by local people, stops at all stations. It has the advantage that navigating the Grand Canal.
Lido ........( all stations )..... Railway station Saint Lucia ........ Piazzale Roma .............. and vice versa.
From Lido to Piazzale Roma or Railway station Saint Lucia and vice versa, about 60 minutes.

Vaporetto line 82 - from 08.00 to 21.00 about every 20 minutes - Tickets cost 6.50 euros. Fastest then Line 1. Used by tourists as navigating the Grand Canal.
From Lido to Piazzale Roma or Railway station Saint Lucia and vice versa, about 50 minutes. This service from the Lido is made only in Summer.

Tickets can be purchased at the ticket office located in the stations of Vaporetti: You can buy tickets cumulative per person for two or three days,clearly saving. If you decide to buy tickets for 2 or 3 days do immediately upon arrival, in this way save the ticket to reach the hotel. The cumulative tickets are valid for all lines including public buses. Special tickets are available for Families.

 Reaching the hotel Giardinetto from the Railway Station of Venice "Saint Lucia":

From the Railway station Saint Lucia, take the Motoscafo line 51, and get off at the Lido station, after about 35 minutes. In Saint Lucia Station PAY  ATTENTIONS to people who stop you seeking to propose to you tours in Murano and Burano Island or other accommodations in hotel near the railway station. Try to convince you saying that the hotel where you are booked is distant, perhaps 40 km away, they try to make you confusing between the district of Lido in Venice and the Lido of Jesolo (which is a city 20 Km far away). Please note that the Lido is located about 10 minutes by boat from Saint Mark Square, while the from railway station to Saint Mark Square it takes about 25 minutes. Clearly on all the things they propose you they get committees. They are, usually, present themselves as representatives of the Municipality of Venice. Say to them that you have already prepaid the account of the hotel and that you are not interested in the tour to Murano and Burano Islands. In the hotel will give you all the informations to make tours organised by Travel Agencies.

 Reaching the hotel Giardinetto from Venice's Marco Polo Airpot - (Tessera):

From airport take the Airport Shuttle service ALILAGUNA motorboat. The cost of the ticket of 15.00 euros per person. After about 55 minutes navigation get off at the Lido boat station (1 station before Saint Mark Square). The stop is situated on the same Square, more or less opposite the Hotel Giardinetto. The Motorboat Alilaguna part about every 40/50 minutes and most often coinciding with the arrival of flights, considering the time required to get your baggages. Tickets can be purchased in the stand Alilaguna located in the arrivals section immediately after the check-point. PAY  ATTENTIONS if somebody propose to you to take a Taxi Motorboat, the cost is roughly 100.00/120.00 euros, do it only if you are in a hurry, since the water taxi takes about 20 minutes less than Alilaguna. Do not take even the normal taxi or bus to Venice as employing a very long time to arrive and the costs would in any case be higher than Alilaguna, whereas you will be leaded up to Piazzale Roma where you should take the boat to reach the centre of Venice. Keep in mind that Venice is a city on water formed by numerous islands and the best way to move is by water

Reaching the hotel Giardinetto from Treviso Airport:

Treviso Airport is located about 25 km from Venice . The main Companies low-cost as Ryanair, Wizzair, Easyjet, land in this airport. To reach Venice should take the Shuttle Bus ATVO. The time taken depends on the traffic conditions around 1 or 2 hours, if there is no traffic even less. When you arrive at Piazzale Roma take the Motoscafo 51 and get off after about 35 minutes in Lido. If you arrive in the evening or late at night, take the boat line NT (Line1 night service), get off in Lido after about 55 minutes. The Hotel Giardinetto is located on the same Piazzale where the boat stations are located.
